Position Overview
The Foster Family Support Network Manager plays a vital role in supporting foster families and vulnerable children by ensuring strong communication, organization, and follow-through across 1HOPE programs and partnerships. This individual will help sustain and grow our support network while upholding the heart and mission of 1HOPE.
This position combines program coordination and relationship-building with a focus on businesses, school and church partnership development, and administrative leadership to ensure foster families and vulnerable children feel supported, strengthened, and surrounded by a caring community.
Key Responsibilities
The Foster Network Manager will oversee foster family engagement, volunteer coordination, program management, partnership development, and event support, including:
Foster Family & Volunteer Coordination
- Enter and maintain accurate records of volunteers and foster families in the 1HOPE database management system
- Contact and welcome new foster families
- Onboard and support new volunteers
- Maintain consistent monthly communication with families
- Support initiatives that directly benefit vulnerable children
- Verify and track foster family licensure in coordination with DCFS
- Develop and organize volunteer opportunities within 1HOPE programs across 1HOPE areas of focus (foster family support network, immediate needs team, and specific programs/events)
Community & School Partnerships
- Build and maintain relationships with local schools and church partners
- Collaborate with schools to identify and support the needs of vulnerable children
- Create school-based volunteer opportunities that support foster families and children
- Represent 1HOPE within community partnerships and outreach efforts
Diaper Program Management
- Send monthly diaper request emails to families
- Complete and submit diaper request forms to KFC
- Communicate with Keeping Families Covered to place orders
- Organize and track diaper distribution
- Ensure timely follow-up and fulfillment of family needs
Events & Community Engagement
- Plan and manage monthly Family Nights
- Plan and manage two Saturday Funday events annually
- Support and help manage events throughout the year (e.g. Gala, Laces and Lunchboxes, Pickleball Tournament, etc. as needed)
Communication & Administrative Support
- Write monthly reporting updates
- Attend regular meetings with leadership
- Assist with social media posts in collaboration with executive director
- Support basic graphic design for outreach and event materials
Team Player
- Works cooperatively with others toward accomplishment of a shared goal as opposed to working separately or competitively
- Leverages own strengths and demonstrates understanding of weaknesses in order to most effectively contribute to a project
- Knows when to lead and when to follow

Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Experience working with volunteers, schools, or community partners preferred
- Experience working with computer technology (e.g. database, microsoft office products to include word, power point, excel, etc.)
- Comfortable with canva and design software
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with leadership
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to make others feel seen and heard
- A compassionate heart for foster families and vulnerable children
- Alignment with the mission and values of 1HOPE
- Successfully pass the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check
